St. Johns Campus Office is open Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 9:30am to 4:30pm and on Tuesdays from 2pm-5pm. Tuesday morning is staff meeting at the DeWitt Campus and the office is closed on Fridays. There will be occasional exceptions as the need arises.
Neighbors Ministry – As of February 1, 2019, the Neighbors Ministry of the St. Johns Campus officially ended as an outreach ministry of Redeemer church. This decision came after months of prayer and discernment. After evaluation, it was decided that the Neighbors Ministry no longer fits the vision of our congregation as it moves forward – at least at this time. We will continue to look for outreach opportunities in the future that are in keeping with our Mission and Vision.
COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY – The Endowment Fund of Redeemer Church is providing a college scholarship opportunity for our graduating seniors. To be eligible for this scholarship, the student must be an active participant of Redeemer Church and attending a Christian college in the fall. Up to $1,000 will be awarded at the discretion of the Scholarship Awards Committee. If no graduating seniors apply for the scholarship – consideration will be given to students currently enrolled in a Christian college. Scholarship applications are due by Thursday, March 15th. These scholarships are funded by the Redeemer Endowment Fund. An endowment fund uses the earnings off the principal amount of money (which is not used) to fund initiatives outside of the general budget. Contributions to this fund can be made at any time which will support programs here at Redeemer in perpetuity. If you have any questions regarding this scholarship or the Endowment Fund, contact Diane in the DeWitt campus church office. Students interested in applying for this scholarship can obtain applications in the church office or by clicking here.
Coming in 2019 – 2019 will be an exciting year at the St. Johns Campus of Redeemer Church. With the new seating scheduled for delivery in January, the new year will bring carpeting and new seating in the worship center. The front worship center platform will be remodeled to provide better visibility, and a permanent sound booth will be constructed on the main floor. In the spring, the children’s ministry rooms will undergo renovations bringing new life and vibrancy as new carpet and furniture are installed, and walls are painted. Building upgrades are not the only thing coming in 2019. Kingdom Quest children’s ministry is on track for revisioning and relaunch in 2019. Life Group resources and leader trainings will be offered at the St. Johns campus with content guides based on the St. Johns Campus Teaching Series, offering new adult learning opportunities.

SPIRITUAL HABITS – SCRIPTURE, PRAYER, & COMMUNITY
Business guru Michael LeBoeuf once said, “Devoting a little of yourself to everything means committing a great deal of yourself to nothing.” With all that continually bids for time and attention, it is often challenging to know what should take priority. It is easy to neglect our spiritual habits for the sake of the urgent. However, if we desire to live growing lives of faith, it requires the intentional growth in the practices of prayer, scripture reading, fasting, and community life. Healthy habits develop over time. Consistency is the key to cultivating a healthy practice. Small steps and incremental gains in our spiritual habits lead to extravagant growth over time in our walk of faith. Beginning on March 10th, we will start a new teaching series titled SPIRITUAL HABITS at the St. Johns Campus of Redeemer Church, and explore the steps we each can take to grow in our SPIRITUAL HABITS.
OFFERING ENVELOPES – Many members of our church family feel that having preprinted offering envelopes is a convenient way to give their weekly/monthly tithes and offerings. St. Johns Campus will be making the switch to the DeWitt Campus mailed envelopes for the coming year. Once a month these envelopes are sent out for the upcoming month and include the envelopes for each Sunday of the month and any special offering for the month. If you like the convenience of envelopes and would like to be added to this system please contact Marie in the St. Johns campus office at 224-6859, or email her at Redeemer.email@example.com so we can include you in the mailing for the first of the year. Please respond even if you had envelopes and used them this year, or you haven’t had them and would like to have envelopes. Note: The use of offering envelopes help us to know how you want your contributions to be used. We also offer Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT) and Text-to-Give 517-731-0518. To find out more about giving at Redeemer go to https://www.myredeemer.church/stjohns/ministries/giving/
WORTHY WEDNESDAY GROUP – The Taco Tuesday group is changing…our name, time and meeting place. We will now be the Worthy Wednesday Group taking our name from the day of the week and Colossians 1:10. Our first meeting will be November 7th at 6:00pm, prior to choir rehearsal and a pizza supper will be provided for this first meeting. We will decide more details that night. There is a sign-up sheet in the lobby if you are interested in joining us! “so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God” Colossians 1:10 New International Version (NIV)
MISS A SUNDAY? There are printed copies of the previous weeks sermons available, with a copy of the worship folder, in the lobby of the church at the Information and Registration Counter.
