A NIGHT IN BETHLEHEM – coming to DeWitt Campus on Sunday, December 9th from 5-7pm. Everyone is invited to this free event! Join us in celebrating the birth of Jesus!! Click here for more information.
OFFERING ENVELOPES – Many members of our church family feel that having preprinted offering envelopes is a convenient way to give their weekly/monthly tithes and offerings. St. Johns Campus will be making the switch to the DeWitt Campus mailed envelopes for the coming year. Once a month these envelopes are sent out for the upcoming month and include the envelopes for each Sunday of the month and any special offering for the month. If you like the convenience of envelopes and would like to be added to this system please contact Marie in the St. Johns campus office at 224-6859, or email her at Redeemer.firstname.lastname@example.org so we can include you in the mailing for the first of the year. Please respond even if you had envelopes and used them this year, or you haven’t had them and would like to have envelopes. Note: The use of offering envelopes help us to know how you want your contributions to be used. We also offer Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT) and Text-to-Give 517-731-0518. TEACHING SERIES FOR NOVEMBER – Elijah: Champion of God‘s Cause
Israel’s history included both good Kings and evil ones. In 1 Kings 17, 18 and 19 we are going to look into the actions of the wicked King Ahab and his wife, Jezebel…alongside one of the greatest of God’s prophets – Elijah. Never was a king so bold to sin as Ahab; and never was a prophet so bold to reprove and threaten him as Elijah. This is a story full of miracles and lessons about God’s abundance and protection in a time of scarcity and unparalleled evil. Begin reading this great Old Testament book and join us for this 4-part series, starting November 4th.
Main Street Meet-Up with Pastor Tim – If you haven’t met up with Pastor Tim yet at Main Street Café, sign up in the lobby and let him know if lunchtime or dinner works best for you. This will help Pastor Tim as he invites members of the St. Johns campus to have a meal with him on Wednesdays. The Main Street Meet-Up is an opportunity for Pastor Tim to get to know you, to hear your story. What better way to do that than by gathering around a table for a shared meal. The meals are free. The conversation is open. Be looking for a personal invitation from Pastor Tim in the weeks and months to come.
WORTHY WEDNESDAY GROUP – The Taco Tuesday group is changing…our name, time and meeting place. We will now be the Worthy Wednesday Group taking our name from the day of the week and Colossians 1:10. Our first meeting will be November 7th at 6:00pm, prior to choir rehearsal and a pizza supper will be provided for this first meeting. We will decide more details that night. There is a sign-up sheet in the lobby if you are interested in joining us! “so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God” Colossians 1:10 New International Version (NIV)
