Herb and Kim Burkett, have a vision to see Ukrainian people serve in their churches and communities around them and to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations. Herb and Kim, originally from Dewitt, have been working with SEND International in Ukraine since 2001. Initially, they served as part of a team that established Golgotha (Calvary) Church, which opened in 2014. The Burkett’s served in many different areas to help this church mature and understand its need to be a part of the Great Commission – taking the gospel to other parts of the world. After turning ministry responsibilities in Golgotha Church over to Ukrainians, Herb and Kim have accepted another assignment. They are helping with Ukrainian Bible Church, a new church plant in the city of L’viv. Not only will Herb be part of this leadership team, but together, Herb and Kim will help develop a family ministry within the church. In addition, they have been serving at the Ukrainian Baptist Theological Seminary.
