CURRENT TEACHING SERIES: The Power of Hope
What do you do when you don’t like the circumstances of your life and it seems as if those circumstances aren’t going to change anytime soon? Jeremiah, chapter 29 has been considered one of the most important documents of the Old Testament. Undaunted by the 800 miles that separated him from his mission field, Jeremiah wrote a letter to God’s people who were in exile in Babylon. The letter was a comfort to those broken with homesickness and confusion. His every word, read and circulated among them, must have brought to mind all the ways that Jeremiah had tried to reach them with the truth. But these words reach into our time, as well, and remind us of God’s provision in our own places of exile. In verse 13, the Lord says: “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” Based on the example of God’s dealings with His people, this new teaching series is a word of encouragement for those of us today who don’t like the circumstances of our life…and can’t see a hopeful way forward.
MEMBERSHIP CLASS – If you are interested in finding out more about becoming a member of Redeemer Church, we invite you to attend our Membership Orientation Class at the DeWitt Campus. Watch the Worship Folder for the next class dates (Fall 2019). It is a great time to get acquainted with other newcomers, explore the meaning of membership in our church, and for us to share with you our vision and core values. Everyone is welcome and there is no obligation to join the church.
PIZZA WITH THE PASTOR – If you are newer to Redeemer we would love to have you join us at Pizza with the Pastor. This is a time for you and your family to meet with Pastor Rod, Pastor Tim, staff, and others who are new to Redeemer Church and join in a casual conversation. Reserve your spot today. There is no cost to attend. To sign up, email Wendy Elliott at email@example.com.
SUMMER CAMPS – Summer will be here before you know it and now is the time to start planning. Register online for Christian Athletic Camp, Wesley Woods, and Bay Shore Camp. ParentLink Newsletter – The ParentLink (Pre-K – 6th grade) newsletter for this month has been added to the website. To check it out, visit the Christian Education / Kids section and click Newsletter
Book Club – The Inspired Readers Book Club for adults meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 7pm. Click here for more information. We hope you can come and join us!
Offering Envelopes – Many members of our church family feel that having preprinted offering envelopes are a convenient way to give their weekly/monthly tithes and offerings. Once a month these envelopes are sent out for the upcoming month and include the envelopes for each Sunday of the month. If you do not receive this monthly mailing of envelopes and would like to, please contact Diane in the church office at 669-3430 ext. 303 or firstname.lastname@example.org and we will include you in the mailing as soon as possible!
Nursery Volunteer Schedule – Click here to sign up
Even if you don’t use the nursery now, you may have children in other ministry areas. Their teachers and Kingdom Quest shepherds who do have nursery-age kids depend on care being available each week. Please sign up and make it possible for them to serve. Thank you!
