WORKCAMP 2020, CAN DRIVE – On Sunday, March 1st the Redeemer Workcamp team will be doing a can drive for our June 2020 trip to West Virginia where we will help to build and repair homes damaged by Hurricane Sandy. The funds raised through the can drive will help students with their portion needed for the trip, to help defer the travel costs of the vehicles, and provide us the opportunity to help the local community we are serving in. We will have a trailer in the parking lot on Sunday, March 1st, where you can drop off the cans. If you would prefer for the kids to pick up your cans, please contact Ron Bekkering at firstname.lastname@example.org or 517-669-3430 ext 307 the students will only be picking up from the homes that make arrangements. If you would like to make a monetary donate to the Workcamp trip, you may do so by placing it in the offering plate on Sunday mornings. Please be sure to indicate that it is for Workcamp either on the check or envelope. You may also make a donation online under the “give now” button on the Redeemer homepage (bottom right) or through the mobile app. Please be praying for the students, leaders, and the lives that will be touched during this trip.
COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY – The Endowment Fund of Redeemer Church is providing a college scholarship opportunity for our graduating seniors. To be eligible for this scholarship, the student must be an active participant of Redeemer and attending a Christian college in the fall. Up to $1,000 will be awarded at the discretion of the Scholarship Awards Committee. If no graduating seniors apply for the scholarship – consideration will be given to students currently enrolled in a Christian college. Students interested in applying for this scholarship can obtain applications at our website (under financial/planned giving) or in the church office. Scholarship applications are due by Sunday, March 29th. These scholarships are funded by the Redeemer Endowment Fund. An endowment fund uses the earnings off the principal amount of money (which is not used) to fund initiatives outside of the general budget. Contributions to this fund can be made at any time which will support programs here at Redeemer in perpetuity. If you have any questions, contact Diane in the DeWitt campus church office. Click here to access the scholarship application.

This year, the 180 Turnaround Conference is being held on Thursday, March 19th. Please sign up in the lobby if you can help or contact Suzie Unruh in the church office.
